In the same area as the Cristais property, Água Fria offers a landscape on a different scale. The waterfall, estimated at about one hundred meters, may have a considerably reduced flow in the dry season. Reaching the top takes approximately two kilometers through cerrado vegetation; visiting the base extends the route to about four kilometers each way, eight in total.
The descent to the pool takes more than the energy for a short outing. The section is steep, and the return makes you climb the same elevation back up. At the base, the water can take on golden tones, contrasting with the height of the rock wall. A local guide is mandatory; confirm authorization, trail conditions and available water with the operator. Rappelling requires booking a specific activity, with its own equipment and team.

Getting there by car
To start from Cristais, it is about 3 km of dirt road after GO-118. The rest of the access is on foot; arrange with your guide which entrance gate to use for the base or for rappelling.
