Santa Bárbara stands out for its turquoise-blue water and the vegetation around the pool. As described, the walk from the last transport drop-off point is approximately 1.5 km each way. Clarity and color vary with the season, light and river conditions, with the dry season generally associated with the best-known images.
Swimming takes place in a deep pool, and the length of stay is controlled. One-hour limit, plus a visitor capacity and a mandatory local guide. Confirm the time actually applied to your booking, arrive at the agreed time and avoid planning an outing that conflicts with community rules.

Use the Engenho II Tourist Service Center (CAT) as your car's destination, after about 27 km of dirt road from Cavalcante. Then arrange community transport and the walk; do not follow a private-car route straight to the pool.
