Vale da Chapada brings together a sequence of pools on the Rio das Almas, described as having water at a pleasant temperature and small fine-sand beaches. The trail is mostly flat and sunny and approaches Cachoeira da Nascente.
At Nascente, the guidance is do not enter the water. The final stretch crosses the river and continues over rocks to a viewpoint, requiring extra care compared with the initial walk. The length and ease of the start should not be used to automatically judge the full circuit.
